The Acer U does feel like the clocks get a bit jumpy and its noticeable in games, so maybe this holds some merit. I really don’t “need” one until the fall though, so sort of waiting to see if the Back to School deals are good, but if nothing comes out hopefully this will still be available. For now, we see the cpu, gpu, memory controller linked – all bypassing the pci bus, interconnecting on the faster, smarter infinity fabric bus, over very small distances on a single die. I like to think more will stock. Subjective matter of course, but they definitely sound like “ultrabook fans” when at max.

AMD Ryzen 5 U Mobile APU Performance with Raven Ridge | Power Consumption and Software Concerns

I am having trouble figuring out how to do that. Their price to performance ratio is incredible right now and I can’t wait to see what comes next! Have a great day till then, Cheers: While this can be great for end consumers if implemented well, it makes it difficult to perform an apples-to-apples comparison of notebook CPUs. Since typing and working with text code is what I do most, I’ll skip it.

If you’re thinking about it, go for it 8o. From what I gathered Ryzen doesn’t fair well with idle, since Intel had a few generations focusing on optimizing for mobile.

It’ll be at least 2 weeks before I make that thread, because I had to order some physical components flash tools from China then actually do the workbut I’ll be certain to share once done!

Perhaps I can try something even more crazy. When I try to losen the plastic it feels like it sccanner glued to the aluminium back. I have done some 2d work and just used Blender to render a photo that was assigned as a texture to a flat plane mesh and port that over to Blenders Node editor for some nice effects via the compositor nodes and used the GPU instead of the CPU and scahner time. Performance-wise there’s no real difference.
